New Pricing
A new pricing model was introduced on the 21st of April 2025. Please signup to one of the new plans now to avoid disruption.
We want to improve the whiteboard and add new features, but to do so we need to realign the costs of running BitPaper with how users pay for it. We have never run for profit. We do this because we love it, but we need to transition to a sustainable business model. We hope you'll understand and support the changes we are making.
For Tutors:
One plan, fixed fee, unlimited usage.
The new standard tutor' account will have a fixed monthly fee of $15 for which tutors will have full access to Bitpaper and all its features, including unlimited papers and calls whilst their subscription is active. Tutors will no longer pay for paper and call credits, but instead will pay a fixed monthly fee for unlimited usage of all of the features of Bitpaper. The new Tutor Plan will replace all of the various with and with-out call plans such as Basic, Advanced, Pro and Power.
For Students:
Bitpaper remains free, can no longer create papers.
Student accounts will remain free of charge, but users on the free account will no longer be able to create papers. They will be able to join the papers created by tutors only. Their existing papers will become read-only.
For Companies:
No changes for existing accounts, new accounts will have a monthly fee.
The price of our existing Enterprise Accounts will not change. For new Company accounts, they will continue to operate on a PAYG basis, but with a new standing charge of $50 per month. Papers will be priced at $1 and call hours will be priced at $0.20.
What happens to my existing paper and call credits?
The credit system is being removed.
By switching to the new monthly subscription, your credits will be replaced by unlimited papers and calls. Otherwise, you will be on the Free Plan and will have read-only access. We are giving everyone unlimited credits until the 21st of April and will refund anyone who purchased a monthly plan in the last 30 days.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your account will revert to a Free Account.
Whilst your papers and their contents will remain online and available to view, they will become 'Read Only' after your current subscription cycle ends. To reactivate existing papers, or create new papers, you can simply reactivate your monthly subscription at any time.
